Samantha and Ron traveled from Clovis, NM and Pennsylvania for a weekend get away in Santa Fe. Ron traveled to New Mexico to visit his fiance for the weekend because she’s stationed here at Cannon Air Force Base. They decided to have their engagement photos taken while they were together. What a beautiful couple! I had a great time photographing them around town at few of my favorite spots. And thankfully the sun and March wind were cooperative!
As we head into the winter months, the weather becomes less reliable and November can be cold. But Kris said if she cared about the weather she would not have picked November for her wedding. Although it was definitely a brisk day we did have a brief break from the wind and snow and the sun peaked out for us on cue. We caught the last of the autumn color and I love how the deep yellow contrasts with her turquoise wrap…it was perfect! The wedding was simple and sweet and it was touching how emotions shown through as Jeremy’s dad performed the ceremony. And even Jeremy’s grandmother was able to attend via Skype…don’t you love modern technology!

When Marc proposed a toast to his new wife he described Elizabeth as being beautiful both inside and out…and I couldn’t agree more! She was a gorgeous bride but more importantly she is a loving person and generous spirit. This Thanksgiving week I am thankful that I was chosen to share their wedding day with them. Congratulations Marc & Elizabeth…I wish you many years of happiness!

What better time to take your extended family portrait than at Thanksgiving? All of the Gasaways spent their holiday vacation in a gorgeous private home in Las Campanas. With such fabulous views it was a no brainer where to stage the portrait session…I just love the mountains and blue sky as a backdrop!
Five years ago I photographed her sister’s wedding…now it was Susan’s turn! Around the same time Randy was moving to Santa Fe to start his new job as a graphic designer. Some time passed before their social circles overlapped, but when it happened the chemistry between them was obvious, as their close friends tell it, and without even really trying they just found each other. The day of the wedding you could visibly see that connection between them…it was in how they looked at one another…in a smile, a laugh and in the way they touched. To look at their photos is to see what LOVE looks like! And I am truly honored to have witnessed it, through my lens, up close and personal.
