Karen & Joe…got married! {Loretto Chapel}

The weather was perfect for a winter wedding…not too cold and only a few ephemeral clouds in the sky. Karen could not get over how sweet smelling her bouquet was. It gave the air around her an aromatic calm. She looked stunning in her dress, and when I met Joe at the chapel, I told him his bride couldn’t be more beautiful. I have never seen the Loretto Chapel so full. So many of their friends and family came to witness their nuptials and later joined them at the La Terraza Room in La Fonda for a jubilant celebration.

Congratulations to Joe and Karen! And thank you for inviting me to share in your day.

Kim & Ed…got married! {Loretto Chapel}

Kim and Ed traveled from Dallas to get married in the exquisite Loretto Chapel. Prior to my arriving at the Presidential Suite of the Inn at Loretto someone had hung the dress in the billiards room. It was so picturesque that it made me giddy with joy! That afternoon and evening was the perfect intimate event…the couple had their closest family and friends join them in Santa Fe to celebrate their nuptials in the most elegant of affairs. Thanks to Kim and Ed for inviting me to share in their wonderful day!

Lara & Karl – Engagement Photography

Congratulations to Lara and Karl…they will tie the knot next year in September…and what an awesome couple they make! We had a great afternoon photographing their engagement session. Lara really wanted to be surrounded by the Aspens up in the mountains, but just a couple of days before the shoot a cold winter blast blew away the last of the leaves. So instead we walked around the Santa Fe river and it was absolutely gorgeous!

Karen said yes!…{Santa Fe Photographer}

A windy rainy October day turned out to be the perfect afternoon for an engagement photo session. Karen and Joe braved the weather and we were blessed with a break in the storm! The lighting was perfect and the fall color was intense. And they were so cute cuddled up in their winter coats. Karen and Joe are such a beautiful couple…I can’t wait for their wedding in December!

Emily & Jason…got married! {Pecos National Monument}

A beautiful wedding and a beautiful weekend. I was so excited to photograph Jason and Emily’s wedding since it would be my first at the Pecos National Monument. The place is so incredible and full of history, once you visit you can see why native people and settlers were drawn to this spot for ages…the views are expansive just like the sky. It was slightly breezy and a little chilly that afternoon but the wind gave Emily’s veil a mind of it’s own! I am so thrilled that I spent the day documenting such a lovely wedding…thank you!
