It’s amazing how things all come together in the final hour. Taylor and Kaleb’s wedding celebration was months in the planning, with attention paid to every detail. But no one can ever predict what the weather will do. Turns out that Saturday was to be a stormy summer day. The rain brought much needed moisture and cooled off what would otherwise have been a very hot afternoon. Just as we were leaving for the ceremony, the rain stopped, and the wonderful overcast light remained. Guests traveled to First Presbyterian in open air trams, and filled every seat in the church. And as she walked down the aisle no one would have ever guessed that Taylor had been battling strep throat just days before…she looked absolutely stunning!
Although they booked their date with me in February, I met Rebecca and Jordi for the first time the day before their August wedding. But I could tell instantly what a relaxed and laid-back couple they are, and that they are matched perfectly to each other. Their wedding day reflected their personalities, it was a beautiful day, and everything flowed smoothly. It was the perfect balance of good friends and close family, fine food and drink, and a lively party to cap off the evening!
Carmen and Eric…to say that they are adventurers is an understatement…leaving the blue waters of Hawaii to return home to the high desert of Santa Fe to host their wedding celebration…it was absolutely WONDERFUL!! So honored that I was chosen to document all the wonders of the day. The stars were definitely in alignment…so many sweet surprises! What a fabulous fiesta…and the paella was to die for!
Oh these are so beautiful and I can’t wait to see them all!! I love the one with Eric, PJ and me smiling during the ceremony. It conveys such a sweet feeling. :):):)
Love, Mom O
A perfect May day…was beginning to wonder though because it had been unusually cold the days prior. Lauren and Dustin drove in from Phoenix on Tuesday to tie the knot at Bishop’s Lodge that Saturday. The gazebo was the perfect setting for their nuptials…everything was so vibrant and colorful. And that also goes for the party afterwards! Thanks so much for letting me share your day!
It was last Thursday and we waited until the end of the day for that dramatic Santa Fe afternoon light to appear. Jonathon had been working his magic a couple of hours prior, so that when I arrived at Elynor’s suite to begin our photo shoot she looked stunning! She was so beautiful it was hard for me to focus on my job! I kept telling her that she reminded me of a siren, she had me captivated. We took some great shots of her in the room then we hit the streets. Pink Adobe was gracious enough to rearrange some things out front and we took a few shots there and then we just followed the sun the rest of the time. A thousand thank yous to Jonathon for coming on location with us to do make-up and hair touch-ups (and for being my photo assistant). And thanks to Elynor for thinking of the idea to do her bridal portrait a couple of days in advance…it was a blast!!!
