Why not travel to Santa Fe from LA for your intimate, low-key wedding? Brooke and Cassidy shared a perfect autumn afternoon with their closest family and friends. A wonderful private home set the stage for their nuptials. Brooke emanated old Hollywood glamor…she looked like a starlet from days gone by. In the excitement, she forgot her bouquet, which no one noticed until after the ceremony. What a sweet memory to cherish!
A Monday wedding…what a lovely way to start the week! Lyn and Kent chose Encantado for their intimate soiree. It was gorgeous and elegant…these two know how to do it! The mesa provided the perfect backdrop to their nuptials. Then guests enjoyed cocktails on the terrace as the sun set. The Aspen ballroom was transformed into something palatial with all the many candles. And Lyn’s gown was one of the most beautiful wedding dresses of the season!
There’s no place like home…for your wedding! Amber and Craig’s wedding celebration was an intimate two day event hosted at their lovely home near Eldorado. Their closest family and friends were invited to join them as they said their vows on Saturday, and Sunday was a casual party that flowed out onto the terrace as the sun sank into the night. Admitted foodies, the couple chose Marja as their caterer and she did not disappoint, abandoning the traditional wedding cake for one made from tiers of cheese, to an heirloom tomato bar and passed hors d’oeuvres that were simply divine!
WOW! WOW! WOW! It’s such a tease, I want to see it all! These photos are so amazing and now I need a whole “Cheese” cake to myself!
Thank you thank you thank you Ginger! You, Jessie and Marja did an amazing job. We are forever grateful.
“I’ve got a Golden Ticket”…ok so remember Charlie from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, the lucky kid who found a golden ticket in his Wonka Bar? Well each of Lara & Karl’s guests were lucky enough to find their own Golden Tickets and subsequent admission to a most whimsical event on 09.10.11. Of course theatrics and whimsy were to be expected from a couple who work at the Santa Fe Opera. It was a fantastically fun evening! Instead of place cards, each guest received their very own personalized Golden Ticket, and tables were named for opera productions. And finishing off the evening like no other, the dynamic duo Vanilla Pop performed well into the night!
These are beautiful – can’t wait to see the rest!!
Great blog post! The whole idea of the Golden Ticket is hysterical. Very well written, and the pics are amazing! I particularly like the one where you are looking beneath the veil. The light and everything is beautiful. The shots of Vanilla Pop are great as well. Really fun. Love it! You’re such an amazing photographer, your clients are lucky to be able to snag you!
Atomic fire balls!!! Jars of Atomic City salsa!!! You guessed it…Meghan and Andy were wed in the Atomic City! Driving up to Los Alamos from Santa Fe, I could see the storm looming on the horizon. When I arrived at the Fuller Lodge the sky was very dark and the wind was blowing…yet another potentially rainy Saturday in our late monsoon season. The caterer was a little worried because all of Meghan and Andy’s guests were dining alfresco that evening, but something told me the storm would dodge us. And by the time the wedding began, the winds were calm and the sky was slightly overcast. One of my favorite moments in the day happened when the best man gave his toast and presented the new couple with a silver dollar. The guys, long time friends, would always flip a coin to decide what to do when neither of them felt like making a decision. So his advice to the newly weds was never to stress over making decisions in their new life together, but to let the coin decide. How awesome is that!
Ginger, those are beautiful!!!!! Thank you 🙂
Amazing pictures Ginger–excited to see more!!!
Oh BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! Anxious to see all of them… and then get some to frame!!! Thanks!!!
Chloe - Beautiful photos! Do you know who the florist was for this wedding?
grussell - Thanks Chloe! If I remember correctly the florist was Kristine Ruesch at Blumen Kenner… http://www.blumenkenner.com
Lyn Kiehl - Yes it was Kristine of Blumen Kenner. She was wonderful, she worked with me for weeks to figure what type of flowers and designs I liked. I had visions of what I wanted and she let me send her many emails and pictures of things that I liked and from what I told her she was able to pick the perfect flowers for me. Her arrangements came out better than I had imagined. She is a wonderful designer, I highly highly recommend her.
Kim Chodorowski - Ginger! These photos are gorgeous! You photographed my sister’s wedding last fall (Meghan and Andy) and I just had to comment on this post – the way you captured the sky and the landscape makes me miss New Mexico so much! Well done 🙂
