Atomic fire balls!!! Jars of Atomic City salsa!!! You guessed it…Meghan and Andy were wed in the Atomic City! Driving up to Los Alamos from Santa Fe, I could see the storm looming on the horizon. When I arrived at the Fuller Lodge the sky was very dark and the wind was blowing…yet another potentially rainy Saturday in our late monsoon season. The caterer was a little worried because all of Meghan and Andy’s guests were dining alfresco that evening, but something told me the storm would dodge us. And by the time the wedding began, the winds were calm and the sky was slightly overcast. One of my favorite moments in the day happened when the best man gave his toast and presented the new couple with a silver dollar. The guys, long time friends, would always flip a coin to decide what to do when neither of them felt like making a decision. So his advice to the newly weds was never to stress over making decisions in their new life together, but to let the coin decide. How awesome is that!
HELLO and WELCOME!
My name is Ginger Russell and I am a destination wedding photographer based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. For the past 12 years I have lived and worked in Santa Fe and began photographing weddings here in 2003. It's been a joy and an honor to have been part of so many lives as they begin their marriage journey together.
Congratulations to you if you are recently engaged and planning your wedding! If you are considering Santa Fe for your destination wedding I could not recommend a better city with it's Old World charm, dozens of fabulous choices in wedding venues and the best in fine dining. Combine this with it's vibrant colors and over 300 days of blue skies and it's difficult to find a more beautiful place.
To let you know a little more about my creative approach, I consider my style to be more editorial rather than journalistic. My goal is for you to feel like you are looking at a high-end wedding magazine when you are looking at your wedding photos. I want you, your family and your friends to look your best on your wedding day. Throughout the day I will blend portraiture with detail shots, and of course focus on capturing all those spontaneous joy filled moments as well.
If you need to book a date for photography or have questions that aren't answered here please call the studio at (505) 820-0390.
Thanks again for visiting the site today and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
XOXO ~ Ginger
