HELLO and WELCOME!

My name is Ginger Russell and I am a destination wedding photographer based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. For the past 12 years I have lived and worked in Santa Fe and began photographing weddings here in 2003. It's been a joy and an honor to have been part of so many lives as they begin their marriage journey together.

Congratulations to you if you are recently engaged and planning your wedding! If you are considering Santa Fe for your destination wedding I could not recommend a better city with it's Old World charm, dozens of fabulous choices in wedding venues and the best in fine dining. Combine this with it's vibrant colors and over 300 days of blue skies and it's difficult to find a more beautiful place.

To let you know a little more about my creative approach, I consider my style to be more editorial rather than journalistic. My goal is for you to feel like you are looking at a high-end wedding magazine when you are looking at your wedding photos. I want you, your family and your friends to look your best on your wedding day. Throughout the day I will blend portraiture with detail shots, and of course focus on capturing all those spontaneous joy filled moments as well.

Fate has it’s way! For Heather and Eric it was as simple as a forgotten Spanish dictionary. They met as students at IU Bloomington in a Spanish class and their romance blossomed from there. So I suppose choosing Santa Fe as their wedding destination could be interpreted as a theme! They had a lovely outdoor ceremony at La Posada de Santa Fe, officiated by the bride’s Aunt Beth. It was an amazing day and I had so much fun with Heather and Eric. And I was touched to discover that it was also Heather’s parents 33^rd wedding anniversary that same day…how sweet and so very meaningful.

Congratulations to the bride and groom and congratulations to Nancy and Bob…may both couples be blessed with many years of love and happiness together!

La Posada de Santa Fe – La Posada is one of my favorite Santa Fe wedding venues, it has such beautiful gardens and lush landscaping. I love photographing couples here on their wedding day!

Artichokes & Pomegranates – Fred Palmer is a wedding veteran! He has years of experience and A&P is one of the most highly regarded floral shops in Santa Fe. Fred is a sweet soul, consummate professional and a true floral artist!
